This posting contains the issue that I got during the migration Oracle DB and Apps EBS  as we post in trilogy of migration part I, II and III. And how to solve the problem, hope this can help you.

Ø      FRM-92150 WEB Client Version too New

SOLUTION (NOTE: 788151.1) :

Cross check the version of forms server used from the forms server installed .  Use the cmd

f60gen|grep Forms|grep Version

The output is  Forms 6.0 (Form Compiler) Version 6.0.8.xx, if not same, re-apply patch for developer6i_patch19. And assure the user already have permission. After that relink the “fnd” module.

In the java console ( or JInitiator console ) check the version. You should have the same version.

Ø      While running patch 6372396, found error :

Statement executed.

AD Worker error:

The index cannot be created as the table has duplicate keys.

The index was dropped and recreated and the concurrent managers started up. Meanwhile for the corrupt FND_ENV_CONTEXT, Oracle gave this solution:

1. Make sure that concurrent managers are not running and there are no FNDLIBR processes.

2. Drop table FND_ENV_CONTEXT as APPLSYS user.

3. Open telnet window and source apps environment.

4. Execute the following:

adodfcmp userid=applsys/apps mode=tables odffile=/patch/115/odf/afcmgr.odf touser=apps/ priv_schema=system/ logfile=”adodfcmp.log”

Ø      While install Oracle Database 10g Software

Error OUI-10094: Problem in saving inventory. Installation cannot continue.

1. Create a new oraInst.loc file in the $ORACLE_HOME. This file should have the follow content:

2. After creating $ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc, start OUI with the following options:

./runInstaller -invPtrLoc $ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc
./runInstaller -invPtrLoc /somepath_db/10.2.0/oraInst.loc

The -invPtrLoc flag is used to locate the oraInst.loc file.

3. Install 10gR2

By following these steps, you are installing 10gR2 using a new (separate) oraInventory

Combine 2 Notes :

Note:360509.1 Ora-04020 on Sys.Cdc_alter_ctable_before When Running Catalog.Sql

Set the following in the INIT.ORA then restart the database:

Note:579002.1 Select From Dba_registry Shows Packages & Types Invalid

To resolve this:

1. Disable the SYS.CDC_ALTER_CTABLE_BEFORE trigger.

SQL> ALTER TRIGGER sys.cdc_alter_ctable_before DISABLE;

2. Recompile DBMS_STANDARD.

SQL> ALTER PACKAGE dbms_standard compile;

3. Run catalog.sql and catproc.sql, then re-enable the trigger.

SQL> @?/rdbms/admin/catalog.sql
SQL> @?/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql

4. Enable the SYS.CDC_ALTER_CTABLE_BEFORE trigger.

SQL> ALTER TRIGGER sys.cdc_alter_ctable_before ENABLE;

After that Compile invalid objects :

SQL> @?/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql

Ø      When startup the applications found error :

SOLUTION 1 (Note:178021.1):

1) In adovars.env, change this-> ADJREOPTS=-mx128m to this ->ADJREOPTS=-mx256m (or higher)

2) Your classpath in adovars.env should be set to:

3) Make sure your setting of OA_JRE_TOP=”/local/java/jre1.1.8″ or whereever the java runtime environment   is installed.

1) Move $JAVA_TOP/ to other directory

2) Re-Generate Jar

EXEC dbms_stats.unlock_table_stats('table_owner','table_name');

Relink of module "WICDOL" failed.
See error messages above (also recorded in log file) for possible
reasons for the failure.  Also, please check that the Unix userid
running adrelink has read, write, and execute permissions
on the directory /ascpdev4w/ascpprodappl/wip/11.5.0/bin,
and that there is sufficient space remaining on the disk partition
containing your Oracle Applications installation.

SOLUTION (NOTE: 213142.1 & 234785.1):

1.       Verify that linkxlC located in the /usr/vacpp/bin directory
2.       If not found then install XL C/C++ for AIX:
a.       Insert cd software XL C/C++ for AIX
b.       # smitty install_latest
3.       If the file can found in the /usr/vacpp/bin directory then Add appropriate path-directory to linkxlC file in $PATH variable.
# export PATH=/usr/vacpp/bin:/usr/vacpp/exe:$PATH
4.       Apply Manifest Patch or Relink again.
